Light, lightshow and Light, lightshow Links

Marie believes that jewellery has no boundaries. The series Light, lightshow conveys this limitlessness in the form of light and shadows transcending from the physical pieces. T

he experiences with these pieces do not only reside in the physical object alone but in the phenomenon of the emitted light and shadows. It is composed of sculptural adornments in transparent and fluorescent colors - light in weight, they move with the body, casting shadows on the wearers skin.

Gems

Marie often applies techniques or concepts similar to those she learned in technology. She designs pieces that transmit this legacy and convey her passion for experimentation and innovation. In the collection gems, during her production process, she did not focus on creating an ultimate piece.

More essential were the steps in the formation: researching, reflecting, sketching, experimenting, discarding and restarting. Even after prototyping and mold-making, the creation of her pieces was always fluid and evolutionary.

Rock Rings

The rock ring collection started as a series of rings made of concrete and quarts. She has started appreciating concrete, as one of her go-to materials, when she lived in Tokyo.

Her familiarity with Japan is also evident, when she brings out imperfections in the finalization of some of her pieces.

Make it mine

This collection displays the tension between durability and customization through consumption.

The arm rings made of ceramic and resin transfer imperfections, on purpose and developing with time, in order to produce a stronger connection and sense of adhesion. The little chips and blemishes strengthen the bond between the wearer and the piece.

Random waste

Committed to not creating waste Marie is using remnants of her plastic waste for these armrings and brooches.

Social jewellery

These pieces are artwear at affordable prices for everyone. I try to produce  a “social jewellery” piece for most of my collections, so everyone can afford to wear art.  If you have a specific piece in mind that you would like to become “social”, contact me and I will think of something!
